IncentiBook Relaunch

Who said you can’t launch more than once?

So here’s the story since the first launch:

Following the launch of a very buggy and ugly version of IncentiBook to a very apathetic market I have become a father, gone through a very helpful innovation workshop and have used design freelancers to help redesign the front end of the website.

The Innovation Workshop

Run by my local county council, this was more helpful than I ever thought it could be. The setup was a two day course with coaches and business development specialists, one of whom has started, and was currently part of, tech startups!
Further to this I was also put in touch with a local guy who has started, and exited, numerous tech startups. It really is amazing how much interesting stuff is going on around us.

Ongoing Outreach

As an attempt at getting customers I’ve maintained a relatively consistent outreach emailing process to companies from various service industries. At this stage I’m working with service businesses with short, definable jobs such as gas engineers; the added benefit being that there is a really clear register of these companies and how many engineers each company has.

SEO and Blogging

Due to significant time commitments, blogging has been limited to one post per week. At this stage I am really struggling with producing interesting and innovative content.

Inspired by the bingo card story, I’ve produce produced a number of blog articles such as HOW INCENTIBOOK CAN HELP MOBILE CLEANERS BE MORE EFFICIENT AND PROFITABLE, focussing in the target market of home cleaning companies. Other posts exist that target other markets.

Clicks and Impressions In Google Search Console for IncentiBook

The number of impressions has definitely increased over time, however there is a very limited number of clicks. I appreciate that this is a long-term game, but it’s so easy to become demoralised by the progress to date. Definitely adding SEO to my learning list.

The Future

During the last week I’ve taken a break from the project and spent some time reflecting on the future, and my ambitions towards IncentiBook. My belief is that each project should have at least one year of concerted effort before making a final decision whether to continue.

Just three months into this iteration, I am excited to see what the future holds for IncentiBook.
